The questions you should be asking.
You are being asked to let software touch your email. These are the answers, stated plainly. If something below is not true, that is a bug and we want to hear about it.
Does it delete my email?
No. It quarantines, and quarantining is reversible. Held mail stays in your own Gmail account under a hidden label; it is moved, not destroyed. Every held message shows up in your dashboard with a Restore button, and restoring puts it back in your inbox with its original labels.
Nothing is destroyed before its recovery window elapses. The window is 30 days by default and you can set it anywhere between 7 and 90 days. The deadline is stamped on each message when it is held: lengthening the window extends existing deadlines, but shortening it never pulls a deadline forward. You cannot destroy your own mail by changing a setting.
Restoring is also permanent in one direction: it adds an allow rule for that sender, and the assistant will never hold their mail again.
What do you store?
For each message: the sender, the subject, the snippet Gmail already generates, when it arrived, and what you did with it. Plus the provider's message ID, so we can find it again to move or restore it.
We do not store email bodies. There is no column for them. The decision engine works on who sent it and what you did about it — the body is not an input, so keeping it would only enlarge our storage and the damage of a breach.
Two honest exceptions, both on the Unified plan. Text messages are short enough that the message is the snippet, so the text of an SMS is stored. And for a screened call we store the transcript of the voicemail, plus a link to the recording held by our telephony provider — we do not keep a copy of the audio ourselves.
What access do you need?
Gmail, to read and to label. Specifically the Google scope gmail.modify, plus the basic sign-in scopes that tell us your email
address and name.
Read, because it cannot learn what you ignore without seeing what arrives. Label, because holding mail and restoring it are both label changes — that is the whole mechanism. We ask for nothing wider. We do not request the scope that would let us send mail as you, and we do not send mail as you.
Your Google tokens are encrypted before they are stored and never appear in logs or in anything the API returns.
What if I cancel?
The assistant stops, and nothing held is destroyed.
In detail: if a payment fails you get 5 days of full function while it retries. After that the assistant is disabled — it stops classifying, stops holding anything new, and releases its connection to your Gmail so that we are no longer reading mail we are not being paid to read.
At the same time the purge job suspends. Everything in your held mail freezes where it is and stays restorable, with no deadline running, for as long as the account is disabled. Your dashboard stays reachable so you can get any of it back. Not paying us is never allowed to cost you your mail.
What will it never do, no matter what?
- It will never hold mail from someone you have replied to. Replying overrides every statistic.
- It will never hold mail from a sender you have explicitly allowed. Your instruction beats its inference, always.
- It will never act at all while it is still in its first, watching stage — the strict personality does not change that.
- It will never purge something inside its recovery window, or something you have restored.
Can I see what it did?
Yes, and that is the part we care most about. Every action is written to an append-only log before it is carried out, with what was done, to what, why, and how confident it was. The log is kept even after the message it describes has been purged. We may lose the mail at the end of its window; we do not lose the record of what happened to it.
Does it work with Outlook, iCloud or my own IMAP server?
No. Gmail only, and signing in with Google is the only way in. Support for other providers is not planned for this version.
Do I have to change how I read email?
No. Your mail stays in Gmail and you keep reading it there, in whatever client you already use. RedpointRackBox's own dashboard exists to show you what the assistant did, to let you undo it, and — on the Unified plan — to hold your calls and texts.
Does this site track me?
No. These pages are static HTML. There is no analytics, no tracking pixel, no third-party script and no cookie, which is why you were not asked to dismiss a banner.
What does it cost?
Email only is $10/year. Unified — email, calls and texts — is $25/year. Annual billing only; there is no monthly tier. Full pricing.
Connect Gmail, pick a plan, and watch it do nothing for two weeks.
