Terms
This is a draft, not a contract. Nothing on this page has been reviewed by a lawyer, and we are not going to imitate the sound of a legal document to make it feel more solid than it is.
What follows is a summary of what we intend the agreement to be. Real terms will replace it before we take money from anyone.
What you are buying
An annual subscription to RedpointRackBox: Email only at $10/year, or Unified at $25/year. Billed once a year. There is no monthly plan.
What we intend to promise
- The assistant does not delete your mail. It holds it where you can get it back, and it does not destroy anything before the recovery window you chose has elapsed.
- If you stop paying, we stop working — we do not destroy what we are already holding.
- Everything the assistant does is logged, visible to you, and reversible while the message still exists.
- We ask Google for the narrowest access that makes the product work, and nothing wider.
What we do not promise
- That the assistant is always right. It is inferring from your behaviour, and it will sometimes hold something you wanted. That is exactly why holding is reversible and why it shows you everything it did.
- Uninterrupted service. We depend on Google and on our telephony provider, and when they are down, we are.
- That we are a mail backup. RedpointRackBox is not a place to keep your email. Your mail lives in your Google account, and it is your responsibility there.
Your side
- One person per account. Accounts are not shared between people.
- Use a Google account you are entitled to use.
- Keep your payment method current, or the assistant will stop after the 5-day grace period.
Ending it
You can cancel at any time, and you can revoke our access to your Google account directly from Google, which stops the assistant immediately. Refund terms, notice periods, and what happens to a long-dormant frozen quarantine are all open questions that the reviewed version of this page has to answer. We are not going to invent answers to them here.
