It earns the right to act.

An assistant that starts deleting mail on day one is not a product, it is a hazard. RedpointRackBox goes through three stages, and it cannot skip any of them.

1. Observe — about 14 days, doing nothing

   When you sign up, the assistant does not touch your mail. Not a label, not a message, nothing. It reads what arrives and records what you do with it: what you open, what you delete unread, what you archive without reading, who you reply to.

   This stage ends after 14 days, or after it has observed 200 decisions of yours, whichever comes first. If you get very little mail, it takes the full two weeks.

   Two weeks of nothing is the point. The statistics are worthless before there is history, and a wrong action in your first week would cost your trust permanently. So the product is deliberately useless at the start. We would rather tell you that than have you discover it.

2. Suggest — it asks, you answer

   Now the assistant has counts it believes in, and it starts proposing: "I would hold mail from this sender." Each suggestion names the sender and the evidence. You accept or you reject.

   Nothing happens without your answer. Accepting holds that sender's future mail — nothing already in your inbox is moved. Rejecting allows that sender permanently and you are never asked about them again.

   Your answers are the most valuable thing you can give it. They are also the gate: the assistant does not graduate on a timer.

3. Act — only after you have answered 10 suggestions

   Once you have answered 10 suggestions — answered, not merely been shown — the assistant may start holding senders on its own, one sender at a time, as each crosses the confidence threshold.

   Time passing does not promote it. If you ignore every suggestion for a month, it stays in Suggest and keeps asking. That is the safe failure, and it is the one we chose.

   Even here, every action is written down before it happens, is listed in your activity log with its reason, and can be reversed with one click.

How strict it is, is your call

You pick a personality at signup: permissive lets more through and only catches the obvious noise, moderate is the default, and strict holds anything that looks like noise. This changes how confident the assistant must be before acting — nothing else. It cannot be used to skip the stages above, and it cannot override the rules on the trust page.

What "holding" means

Held mail is moved to a hidden label in your own Gmail account. It is not deleted, not sent to us, not moved out of your control. It appears in your RedpointRackBox dashboard with the date it stays recoverable until, and restoring it puts it back in your inbox with its original labels intact.

After its recovery window — 30 days by default, your choice between 7 and 90 — held mail is purged. Shortening the window later never shortens the deadline on something already held; each item keeps the promise it was given when it was held.
